Although Anabel & Angel have been married for a few years, having a traditional Mexican ceremony by the Catholic Church was VERY important to them. The couple planned their wedding in one month. YES people, it IS possible! With the help of Anabel’s sis, Joanna, the big day was a HUGE success.
As a friend of the couple, I was asked to take pictures of the big day. No pressure! :0) As a not-so-seasoned wedding photographer, I chose to approach this as a great and super fun opportunity. Besides, I’m usually the guest pretending to be a professional photographer anyway. Snap! Snap!
Okay, this would definitely be out of my league. Will my battery die? Will I have enough memory space? Lol these were some of the many thoughts running through my mind, but I knew all I could do is prepare as best I could. And that I did 🙂
When the day came I RAN with it. I had so much fun and remembered that this was something I’m normally doing anyway (only normally it’s some type of family function).
I met up with the bride and her maids early that morning. Anabel is a natural beauty. She’s more of a t-shirt and sneakers kind-of-gal. Seeing her in a beautiful dress all dolled up took my breath away.
The service was lovely and I think we all couldn’t wait to let the festivities begin! I have to mention that Joanna, Anabel’s sister, put together the ENTIRE thing. From arranging appointments, to every last bit of decorative detail so that the couple wouldn’t have to worry about a single thing. She did an amazing job!
After most of the guests danced the night away, I decided to put the camera down and join in on the fun-as a guest of course 🙂
Thank you Anabel and Angel for giving me this very cool experience! I REALLY had tons of fun-both as your guest and photographer 🙂 I hope you enjoy!!
